GIS Software

All software that is listed below is available free of charge to faculty and research centers exclusively affiliated with the Social Science Division at the University of Chicago. Graduate students exclusively affiliated with the Social Science Division can purchase GIS licenses at the cost of $250.00 annually.

All other students, staff, faculty, and research centers not exclusively affiliated with the Social Science Division at the University of Chicago can purchase licenses for an annual fee of $500.00.

The ArcGIS license fee is renewable every August. Any purchases made after August will not carry a prorated cost for the remainder of the license year. For purchase, installation, or more information, please contact gis@listhost.uchicago.edu.
